[There's a really good question that Peter needs to ask himself. What bad guy hit him hard enough to knock him out and throw him all the way into Central Park? Trees and grass shouldn't have hurt so hard to make his back hurt. Okay, maybe trees. But still, it wasn't like he was slammed into another brick wall. No, it was just a really dense looking forest that definitely didn't look like it would be Central Park. That's weird. Maybe Mysterio had something to do with this. Not sure how the guy could get the jump on him like this, though.

But it seemed like he was at least hit hard enough that his clothes were knocked off. How can you even hit a guy in a skin tight costume that hard? Well, it explains how he would have gotten to a place with a ton of trees. Not good. He might actually be injured now--

Or he could have wings on his back.]

[Voice]

[After figuring some things out and realizing that the journal actually... talks, Peter can be seen walking into the village while wearing the New Feather pants. While wandering aimlessly and looking worried, he's flipping through his journal until he figures out how to use it.]

This on? [Seems like it.] Quick show of hands. Who else is creeped out by the talking book?

[Yeah. Let's keep wandering around this weird village until someone helps him, or he finds someone he recognizes. He hope everyone is alright.]

[On fire!?] I think I'm gonna take back what I said if I might end up on fire.

[Being naked in front of everyone at Midtown High sounded just as bad. Kind of weird to compare the two like that.]

At least I didn't lose my hair. I mean, it's one thing to come home in a different outfit. But to come home bald? Yeaaaah, no thanks.

[That would be the ultimate form of shame, in his mind.]

[Grabbing a few shirts and some jeans. And maybe running a hand though his hair to appreciate it a little more.]

Is... catching on fire something that can happen with any of your powers?

Um... in the past, I guess it was possible. I started off with just lightning spells and some flying, so it was easy to accidentally set things on fire. I've gotten better at it, though.

Good to know. [He won't fear the superhero team-up.]

Gotta say that I'm pretty glad I got what I got. Probably a lot more friendly to the beginner.

What, you didn't web-sling into a few buildings when you were getting started?

[Because he definitely flew into a wall or two during practice.]

You know, one of the bonuses of being in a teenage super hero team is that everybody screws up together. It makes for some good stories.

[He won't pry, though, because his imagination can come up with plenty of scenarios to fill in the gaps. Instead he gives Peter a little prod towards the changing room.]

Come on, go get dressed before we both starve to death.

Just one of them? It does sound like there would be a load of bonuses to come with a team like that.

[Slinging the clothes he picked out of his shoulder (and the costume), Peter nods and heads into the changing room. A moment later, he emerges in a long-sleeved shirt and jeans.

Not the best choice for this time of year, but it covers up the costume underneath.] I could get used to free clothes.

Definitely more than one. I don't know how you managed the solo gig for as long as you did- it sounds exhausting.

[He gives Peter a quick once over, then nods, gesturing for the door.]

Honestly, it doesn't take that long to get used to most of this place. It only gets really weird when the experiments start up.

No kidding. The one team-up I got was such a relief, for all of one hour.

[Peter rolls his shoulderblades a bit, cringing as his wings press up against his clothes. Ouch. Then he heads for the door and outside.]

I heard about those experiment things. Not a fan of what I've heard.

Good luck finding someone who is a fan. They basically exist to screw up our lives and confuse everyone, and there's no way to avoid them unless you just get lucky. It's really messed up.

Gotta admit, your description was definitely the one that took the cake.

[So it gave him powers. Peter has some bad history with people who gave others powers all willy nilly like that.]

That drastic? And it took that away just like that. [FINGER SNAP.]

[Billy leads Peter to the bakery, shoulders lifting in a vague little shrug.]

That about sums it up. Once it was over, though, it didn't bug me so much. I was glad to get my own powers back.

Wow. Shapeshifting sounds pretty cool, though. [There could be a ton of things you could change into!

Peter looks over at the bakery.] This village has everything.

Not everything. It's severely lacking in friends and family from home. ...Also technology. I'm really missing my laptop these days.

... I can see how that could be a problem. [He can't disagree with the lack of friends and family, but after everything Peter's heard, he doesn't need Aunt May to suddenly show up and have another heart attack from this place adding stress onto her. It'd be like hell.

That's too morbid to think about.] Uh-- Not much in the technology department, huh? Kind of like living in the past. [Let's just mosey on inside the bakery now.]

Kind of, yeah. I've heard it used to be worse, but I've only been here for a couple of months, so I can't vouch for that theory.

[Yay, bakery! Let's get some lunch, there are hungry teenagers afoot.]

Worse. [Peter doesn't like the sound of that, enough to repeat it under his breath.] I guess I'll find out for myself, huh?

[Okay. Peter has no idea what this bakery even has, or how to take food or what not. He's way too new for this complicated "free" thing!]

Sooner or later, yeah.

[Once Billy gets himself a sub and something to drink he finds a table for them, waiting for Peter to follow suit. Free food! Awesome, yes?]

[Peter grabs... well, a kind of small cheese sandwich. He feels weird not paying for anything, and grabs the smallest thing he sees because of it. Don't worry, he'll get over the guilt.

Over to the seat.] This feels so wrong, you have no idea. [It's like stealing.]
