[There's a really good question that Peter needs to ask himself. What bad guy hit him hard enough to knock him out and throw him all the way into Central Park? Trees and grass shouldn't have hurt so hard to make his back hurt. Okay, maybe trees. But still, it wasn't like he was slammed into another brick wall. No, it was just a really dense looking forest that definitely didn't look like it would be Central Park. That's weird. Maybe Mysterio had something to do with this. Not sure how the guy could get the jump on him like this, though.

But it seemed like he was at least hit hard enough that his clothes were knocked off. How can you even hit a guy in a skin tight costume that hard? Well, it explains how he would have gotten to a place with a ton of trees. Not good. He might actually be injured now--

[After figuring some things out and realizing that the journal actually... talks, Peter can be seen walking into the village while wearing the New Feather pants. While wandering aimlessly and looking worried, he's flipping through his journal until he figures out how to use it.]

This on? [Seems like it.] Quick show of hands. Who else is creeped out by the talking book?

[Yeah. Let's keep wandering around this weird village until someone helps him, or he finds someone he recognizes. He hope everyone is alright.]

What, like... a supervillain or something? Honestly I'd be surprised if they even recognized me. The only well-known bad guys I've fought are Kang and the Shocker. Oh, and Electro- sort of.

Something like that-- [Wait. Wait. Wait.] You fought both Electro and the Shocker? And they're both well-known?

Yeah, they've been around for years. ...Oh, right, they're your guys, aren't they? Originally, I mean.

That sounds more annoying than anything else. But I guess we just keep 'em in check, huh?

Yeah, it keeps us busy. Which isn't really a good thing, but... I don't know what I'd do with my abilities if there was no one to fight. It would be kind of a waste.

A good waste, though. [That's how he feels, anyway. What with his friends almost always in danger. Every week it's something else.] Still, I do love kicking bad guy butt as much as the next guy.

Mm. It's nice to be helping people for a change. Actually making a difference. Before all this happened I was used to being invisible.

You and I both. It was definitely easier, being invisible. [But not nearly as great.] I don't think I'd change a thing now, though.

Yeah, I have to agree with you there. Even if keeping secrets from people can be a pain.

That's an understatement. [Peter leans forward a bit, laughing under his breath.] I'm not gonna get used to having someone to talk to about all this.

Hey, you never know- you might enjoy it. One of the benefits of a super hero team is having someone around to watch your back, both in battle and during the aftermath. It really makes a difference.

Yeah... you're really making me regret not looking out for a superhero team sooner back in New York.

If it's any consolation, they might not exist on your world yet.

That just makes it twenty times more depressing.

Well, in my world you do join the Avengers, so... there's hope for the future, at least.

This is just really cool for me- I kind of idolized you when I was a little kid, so being more on the same level of you is really surreal.

I bet that'd be cool. I can pretty much only imagine what that would feel like. [Stop with all that ego stroking, Billy! Gosh!] But the idea that you knew me when you were a kid's kinda... wow, that's going to take some getting used to.

I'll try not to make a big deal about it, but no promises. Unless you want me too, in which case I could probably gush about the heroics of the Amazing Spiderman for a few hours.
