[It's been a week since he arrived in Luceti, and Peter figured it was long enough a gap that Spider-Man could convincingly arrive in Luceti himself, separate from Peter. That would help diminish suspicions, right? He had to make sure that he couldn't use his powers as Peter, not even in Luceti. He couldn't take a chance. There were already at least two people who knew his identity, and that was because of back home. Cluing anyone else into the whole identity business could jeopardize someone -- like Liz or Gwen -- if they arrived in Luceti at the same time as... say, Rhino.

Not that he would remember. O'Hirn was pretty dumb.

Anyway, this was a perfect chance to dress up in the good ol' red and blue and try webslinging around the village. Keyword is try, because there weren't exactly skyscrapers in Luceti. He would have to cut it pretty close to the ground, but it was good practice. He didn't know how long he'd be stuck in the village, so navigation via webs was key. Better to practice during downtime.

And that's when he pulls out the journal to look at while swinging. Better put on his best pokerface.

Man, oh man. This Luceti place is nothing like the Big Apple. Too much... nature. Needs more skyscrapers. [Yeah, he kind of laughed at his own joke.] Read enough of the guide to get my bearings, but I've gotta say. I'm more impressed than freaked out.

[All the sarcasm in the world is just dripping through the feed. So is the noise of webslinging.]

It's not like a lot of baddies get the one-up on me like this. Gotta give props where it's earned. At least until I bust myself right on outta here. Then I'm just gonna have to take my props back. Got a warranty and everything. [Whoops, almost hit the ground there.] Whoa! You guys need to invest in taller buildings!

[This is one of those times that Peter's glad he thought ahead before doing something. As in, he has an excuse ready.]

I've been in tighter situations and got out okay. [A grunt as he lands on a roof.] But I'm still getting over the whole "other world" thing, if that makes you feel any better.

Yeah, I'm like, totally the same way. [She hears that thud.] Buuut I've been to other worlds before, so I'm kind of like a pro. Hey, what are you doing? Did you just fall or something?

You could say something like that. [He's more interested in this who planetary space travel she's talking about.] Going to other worlds is normal for you?

Yeah, it's happened. I've only been to one other one, buuut it was kind of a big deal. You kind of get used to being warped away to different worlds after the first time.

It's really that simple? Do it once and the rest are no big deal? [Makes sense.]

Yeah, kinda. If you need any advice about this place, you've come to the right person. ...Well, I came to you, actually. Same thing.

I haven't met any myself, buuut I hear a few of the people can be dangerous. That, and you can't really trust anything that the people who brought us here say.

Already went and chalked the Malnosso up to baddies as soon as I heard. But what about the so-called dangerous people around here? What'd you hear?

I'm sorry. Nothing really super specific comes to mind. But like, a lot of us are fighters, you know? Sometimes, people just freak out.

[He kind of gathered that there was a lot of strong people around. That's what made him feel a little on edge, because sometimes all it took was one thing to push them over to the wrong side of the fence.]

Got it. Then I'll just hope everyone keeps their head on straight. It'd make my job easier.

That's pretty hopeful. Sometimes, pretty freaky things happen. Like, there was a giant beast in the village a little while ago. Oh, and there was a typhoon. It's not pretty sometimes. I'm sure someone like you can handle it, though, since you're so well-adjusted.

Yeah, you can say that again. Then there are the drafts and the special missions...there's never a dull moment if you're paying attention.
